Growing up in Nottingham, I have always had a love for design. As a child, I would spend hours drawing and designing, honing my skills and exploring my creativity. My parents recognised his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion. I in Design YouTube classes and provided myself with the tools I needed to develop his skills.
After completing my school education, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue a career in design. I knew all to well that it would be a challenging path, but I was determined to make my own mark in the industry. I started by studying in college and then getting a chance to work for a local design agency (Touch Design) for portfolio work, where I gained valuable experience and learned the ins and outs of the business.
After completing my education, I decided to take up an Digital marketing apprenticeship at Simbrix while also doing all in house design work. Following my one-year apprenticeship, I was kept on as the only in-house Graphic Designer for five years before moving on to a Product Development and Design Executive role and finally becoming Director of Product Development and Design. As a result, the company has an amazing company to backing it up, The Character Group.
However, I soon realized that I wanted more creative freedom. I wanted to be able to work on projects that inspired him like Simbrix did and allowed him to showcase my unique style. That’s when I made the decision to become a freelance designer.
Starting out as a freelance designer was not easy. I had to hustle and work hard to build a client base. I attended networking events, reached out to potential clients, and showcased my work on various online platforms. Slowly but surely, I felt I started to gain recognition for my talents and began to attract clients who appreciated my creative vision.
One of the things that sets me apart from other designers is his ability to truly understand his clients’ needs. I like to take the time to listen to their ideas and goals, and then translates them into visually stunning designs. Whether it’s a logo, a website, or a branding package, my designs always capture the essence of the clients’ businesses.
Over the years, I have worked on a wide range of projects, from small local businesses and brands to even independent clients.
